Cable ladders
Cable ladder
Two side rails joined by rungs, for heavy power cables over long spans in plants, substations and risers. Hot-dip galvanized as standard.

When to choose it
Cable ladder carries large, heavy power cables and allows longer spans between supports than a tray. The open rungs let heat escape and make it easy to tie cables at any point. It is the standard choice for power plants, substations, industrial plants and vertical risers.
How we make it
- Formed C-section side rails
- Rungs welded at regular spacing
- Hot-dip galvanized after fabrication to BS EN ISO 1461
- Matching bends, tees, reducers, splice plates and covers
Tell us the cable weight and the support spacing, and we will propose rail height and thickness.
Standard sizes
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Width | 100 to 1000 mm |
| Side height | 75 to 150 mm |
| Side rail thickness | 2.0 mm |
| Rung size | 30×15×1.5 mm or 40×20×1.5 mm |
| Rung spacing | 300 mm |
| Side rail profile | S or C |
| Bend radius | 500 mm |
Rungs are CO2 welded to AWS D1.1, and each weld point carries 150 to 300 kg. Other rung sizes, spacing and radii are made on request.
